EA WRC: field-of-view limitations on triple screens
This November 2023 account covers EA Sports WRC's early days on my triple-screen installation. I enjoy the driving, but the display support leaves me frustrated. The video combines a short critical commentary with a complete stage: my main concern is immersion and the limitations I encounter in that launch version, rather than a detailed assessment of every aspect of the game.
Triple-screen support is my main disappointment
My main expectation concerns triple-screen handling. In my cockpit, this is more than a way to obtain a wider image: it is an important part of the visual continuity with the car interior. The lack of support suited to this installation is therefore what bothers me most.
I had hoped update 1.3 would improve the situation, but it had not resolved the issue I raised when recording. That reservation describes my November 2023 experience; it does not establish the game's condition after later updates.
Presentation convinces me less than driving
I also discuss the visuals and a presentation whose similarities to the F1 series disappoint me. These are reservations about the game's identity and immersion, rather than a technical demonstration of what causes its graphical problems.
My commentary is critical, but it does not erase the driving enjoyment I mention alongside the video. It is possible to enjoy a stage while expecting more from the options needed for a particular cockpit.
